I look for the organic, the rough, the scrappy – the basic signs of vital life in the raw.
Many of the images are framed so that they appear to have been caught by accident, a fleeting opportunity seized at the moment it appears.
In others, there is deliberate camera shake and discordant framing to imply a greater story than is confined by the image. This is one of the reason I like corridors, lifts and offices.
Textures have always interested me. Many of my favourites have been created by nature through decay.
I endeavour to capture the seemingly accidental.
